Trailer Tales provides a fresh approach to the puzzle-gaming genre by immersing the player in an empathetic narrative that would allow our audience to appreciate the importance of relatability to others, to nature, and to oneself. In particular, the unique components of this game are the multiple perspectives and the art direction of the characters and environment.
The game begins at the end of each character's journey. A small group of hikers settle around a campfire by a lake that grants each character a wish. Instead of focusing on one person's journey, our game goes backwards in time to peer through the unresolved pasts of each hiker. The characters have 5+ levels, each revealing a core emotional struggle that explains their wish and reflects reality's riddle of understanding another human being.
